Lisa recently separated, Lisa is a committed stay at home mom who found herself forced to find a rental property for herself and her 6 children. She receives little to no financial help and found herself able to scrape together enough to put a roof over her children’s heads, but with no furniture or beds. speekdoG learned of the plight of this woman and her children and was able to assist with the purchase of beds for all of the children, and new bedding for a good night’s sleep. speekdoG also received donation of a large dining room set as well as other furniture to help make this house a home!
86yrs young, but with no family to help her – a polio survivor since childhood, she has multiple health issues and is burdened with many medical expenses. Her home has multiple issues, as it is a 40 yr old trailer. She utilizes local foodbanks for the majority of her sustenance and insists on living independently. Alice has a tough work ethic and still cuts her own lawn!!! speekdoG helps Alice with a monthly stipend to cover lot rent at her trailer park, and some funds to buy fresh foods not available through the food banks. speekdoG also responds when Alice has auto or home repair needs.
Mary is a bubbly, bright 11 year old who is not able to live with either of her parents. She is cared for by extended family who lack employment at the present time and struggle to make ends meet. Mary had no bed and was only sleeping on the floor on an old, ugly mattress. speekdoG had the privilege of taking Mary to pick out a brand new day bed with a trundle, new mattresses and bedding for both beds. Now when Mary makes friends at her new school, she can have a sleepover in style!!
